Farm Field Trips

2 hour field trips for mommy/daddy, homeschool groups, pre-school, kindergarten classes etc.
Gather your group and come out to the farm for a visit:
What the visit includes:
First we head to the herb garden and kids pick herbs to make tea.. we put the herbs into hot water and then head out to:
Milk the goats
Bottle feed the babies (when we have baby goats - March -May)
Filter the milk
Feed the animals
Collect eggs from the chickens
Add compost to the garden and learn a little about compost and organic gardening
Pet the animals: sheep, goats, pony, horses, pot bellied pig, bunnies
At the end, we make our way back to our tea! it is ready now to try. Kids can try their tea with our neighbors honey from her hives!
Time for lunch and free play!
Picnic area with picnic tables - eat lunch next to the horses and chickens
Optional:
Small lesson on grooming and riding our pony Elizabeth and horse Rusty
Train ride on our little tractor train!
Bring your group of 10 or smaller out to the farm, do the activities and bring a picnic lunch!
COST $10 per child (parents free) **note: $50 minimum charge for groups under 5 children.
Optional extra activities:
Pony lesson $5 per child
Train ride $5 per child
